I wanted to extend again my most sincere and warmest ‘thank yous’ for the donation and work that Kiran, Seth, and their team had done to make this gift possible. After the conversation we had about the mission of Project HOME, as well as the work and support Veda is involved in the greater Philadelphia region, I can tell that Veda is a pillar to not only the Center City restaurant scene but to the city of Philadelphia as a whole.

With this gift, Project HOME will continue to support adults, children, and families and further our mission: to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization. Project HOME achieves this by providing not only much needed affordable housing, but also opportunities for employment, access to medical and dental care, and of course ongoing education for both adults and children.

This year, Project HOME will open its doors to our 22^nd location in Philadelphia, The Inn of Amazing Mercy. This new residence is a recovery residence for 62 homeless men and women who want to begin their recovery journey directly from the street or after being discharged from detox. There will be 12 entry-level beds and 50 units of housing. This will bring Project HOME to over 1,030 units of affordable housing.

The opening of The Inn of Amazing Mercy would not be possible without the support from our partners throughout the business community and the team at Veda continues to be an example of leadership and generosity within that community. We at Project HOME are very grateful for this leadership and I personally am looking forward to enjoying their hospitality in the future.
